Now hiring a Senior Associate

Anorak Ventures is a seed stage venture capital firm investing in emerging technologies. The firm is led by Greg Castle, a former founder and startup exec who has led investments in 96 startups counting 6 unicorns including Oculus, Flexport, Mux, Anduril, Flock Safety and Rec Room. Anorak closed its debut fund in 2017 and is now investing out of its second fund. The firm is searching for a key hire to help scale up operations, sourcing, and portfolio support.


Anorak’s strategy is to remain nimble and collaborative, working with the best founders and co-investors to succeed. Fund 3 is scheduled to raise in 2025. This has been a solo-GP structure to date and this will be the first hire for Anorak. This position will be compensated with both salary and carried interest.

  • Interest in areas including XR, CV, Web3, Robotics, Gaming, and AI

  • A self-starter who is solutions oriented with a dedication to go the extra mile

  • The ability to quickly build rapport and trust with others

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

  • The ability to synthesize vast amounts of data and resolve what really matters

  • Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco


Once on board you will:

  • Be a major source of dealflow and conduct comprehensive due diligence

  • Perform various outbound marketing and deal sourcing activities including email outreach, attending conferences, and interfacing with prospective entrepreneurs or co-investors

  • Work closely with portfolio companies to provide value and help them achieve their goals

  • Learn about all aspects of fund operations

  • Communicate with and help manage LP relationships

  • Build a scalable infrastructure that will help Anorak continue to grow

  • Write publicly about subjects that excite you



  • 2-6 years experience in either tech, venture, finance, or consulting

  • Operational experience in tech-related hyper-growths or start-ups preferred

  • Angel, scout, or start-up investment experience preferred

  • Highly organized with a track record of creating systems and structure

  • Collaborative attitude with a team-first approach

  • Demonstrated judgment; record of making winning decisions

  • Ability to synthesize sophisticated information, form a sharp point of view, and communicate it in a relevant way to different audiences
